Refutation of Sohaib Saeed's update statement:

"Declining Christian worship? A SAD thing"

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

و الصلاة و السلام على أشرف الأنبياء و المرسلين: سيدنا و حبيبنا محمد

أما بعد :

I need first of all to ask, in-sha-Allah, a few questions to Sohaib Saeed:

Are you seriously looking for the truth?...but are you really looking for it or are you looking for what matches your own miserable opinion? Take what follows as a sincere advice in-sha-Allah

to let you, in-sha-Allah, come to the truth...

Part 1: Remind

Remember what Allah The Most High says (meaning of the translation of the verse):

"And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah." [2:281]

Do you know that speaking without knowledge is a grave sin? It is more dangerous than someone who is practising shirk (polytheism) as Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim (rahimuhu Allah) said regarding the verse in Surah Al-A'raf where Allah The Most High says (meaning of the translation of the verse):

"Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities (al-fawaahish) - what is apparent of them and what is concealed - and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for whioch He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know."" [7:33]

Indeed, the one who practise "shirk" (polytheism) is harming himself only, but the one who speak about Allah without knowledge, he is harming himself and those who listen to him, or those who read what he wrote...

So the one who speaks about Allah The Most High without knowledge does more damage than the one who is practising shirk.

However, we need to underline that practising shirk is the biggest sin and dying upon it without repentance let someone remaining in Hellfire for the eternity. I am not speaking about the biggest sin here, I am mentionning a more dangerous sin because of the damage that can occur from it.

Imam Ibn Al Qyaiim (rahimuhu Allah) said in his book "Madaarij-us-Saalikeen" that Allah The Most High mentions first "al-fawaahish", and he said this is the least of the sins that He mentions, after that He mentions the sins of transpasses against the truth; this is a greater sin than the first one that Allah mentionned. And then, Allah The Most High mentions about making shirk, and finally He mentions saying things about Allah The Most High of which you have no knowledge. Ibn-ul Qayyim said that Allah The Most High is going from the lesser to the greater sin. The last sin being speaking about Allah The Most High without knowledge, which is actually what you do when you make tafseer without the proper background, without the proper methodology, he said it involves and it includes many things even more than what commiting shirk involves.

He said it involves and includes:

1. Ascribing something falsely to Allah The Most High

2. Changing or altering the religion of Allah The Most High

3. Denying what He has confirmed or

4. confirming what He has denied

5. Affirming something declaring false or

6. declaring something false as true

7. Supporting what Allah The Most High dislikes or opposes

8. Liking something that Allah The Most High dislikes

In other words, when you are speaking without knowledge in the religion of Allah, then in fact, you are changing the religion of Allah The Most High, and you find that in fact, speaking without knowledge is actually the real source of all disbelief (kufr) and polytheism (shirk).

He said, for instance, the polytheists claim what they are worshipping instead of Allah was something to take them closer to Allah The Most High, so the cause of their shirk was saying something about Allah The Most High without knowledge, something they did not know about Allah The Most High...

[see "Madaarij-us-Saalikeen" 1:378 under the chapter named "Al qawl 'ala Allah bi ghayr 'ilm" (the talk about Allah without knowledge)]

Part 2: Refutation

Sohaib Saeed's update can be viewed HERE

The refutation of Sohaib Saeed's statement: "Declining Christians worship: a SAD thing"

can be read HERE in-sha-Allah, while the other refutations of Sohaib Saeed deviances

can be viewed HERE in-sha-Allah

Allah The Most High says (meaning of the translation of the verses):

Imam Al Bukhari reported in his saheeh (in the book of knowledge)

the narration from 'AbdAllah Ibn 'Abbass

(may Allah be pleased with him and his father) who said:

"Once the Prophet embraced me and said,

"O Allah! Bestow on him the knowledge of the Book (Qur'an).""

Sohaib Saeed wrote:

"It is ridiculous and un-Islamic to prefer a place of drinking (where religion is forgotten), to a house in which people gather to seek and praise God (according to their beliefs)!

I just answer to that deviant statement that their belief Mr Sohaib Saeed, as you should well known, (I hope so...) is based on SHIRK (polytheism), indeed, christians are disbelievers, because they do not follow the religion of Islam which is based on PURE monotheism to Allah in the worship. So how can a muslim prefer the BIGGEST SIN and the BIGGEST INJUSTICE which is the SHIRK?!!! Audhubillah!!

Anyone who do not follow the religion of Islam is a disbeliever, because the religion of Islam is based on the sincerity to God (Allah) The Most High in the worship and in the following of the Last Prophet and Messenger Muhammad (salla ALlah alayhi wa sallam = peace be upon him).

And Allah The Most High said (translation of the meaning of the verse):

"Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam" [Surah 3 verse 19]

Imam Ibn Kathir said in the tafseer (explanation) of this verse:

"Allah states that there is no religion accepted with Him from any person, except Islam. Islam includes obeying all of the Messengers until Muhammad who finalized their commission, thus closing all paths to Allah except through Muhammad . Therefore, after Allah sent Muhammad , whoever meets Allah following a path other than Muhammad's, it will not be accepted of him. In another Ayah, Allah said (translation of the meaning of the verse),

"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him" [Surah 3 verse 85]"

Al-Qaadi ‘Ayyaad said: "hence we regard as a kaafir everyone who follows a religion other than the religion of the Muslims, or who agrees with them, or who has doubts, or who says that their way is correct, even if he appears to be a Muslim and believes in Islam and that every other way is falsehe is a kaafir"

(Al-Shifaa’ bi Ta’reef Huqooq al-Mustafaa, 2/1071)

Then, to prove his ignorance, Sohaib Saeed used a verse from the Qur'an to try to justify the fact the "the positive role of churches in Christian society, in turn facilitating religiosity and truth-seeking"

He said: "If the writer is unable to understand that the spread of irreligion and atheism (at the expense of Christianity, before others) is a bad – and sad – thing, then let me simply remind him of some Qur’anic verses that must have escaped him on this occasion.

…And nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, ‘We are Nasara [i.e. Christians]‘: because amongst these are [many] priests and monks, and because they are not arrogant.” (Q 5:82)"

I am asking a question to Sohaib Saeed: Are you unable to understand that Christianity is a spread and a cause of irreligion and atheism???!!! Are you unable to understand that Christianity is a polytheistic religion???!!!

Do you understand that??!!

Would you prefer the spread of Polytheism (shirk in arabic) at the expense of immoral conducts????!!!

Audhubillah!!!!

Yes, we condemn any immoral conducts, and we condemn the biggest of immoral conduct which is invoking and/or worshipping other than The One Who Created ALL the Universe and what it contains!!

What kind of muslims are you?!!! How can a muslim prefer the spread of the BIGGEST INJUSTICE mentionned by Allah The Most High in the Qur'an (meaning of the translation of the verse): "And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything ] with Allah. Indeed,, association [with him] is great injustice." [Surah 31 verse 13]

By the way, let me reminding him what Allah The Most High says regarding "christians worship" (translation of the meaning of the verse):

"They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers." [Surah 5 verse 72]

In the following verse, Allah The Most High says (meaning of the translation of the verse):

"They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment." [Surah 5 verse 73]

Regarding now the so-called "proof" to his deviant argumentation, he used the verse (translation of the meaning of the verse) without referring it to the understanding of the righteous predecessors (let me quote the FULL verse):

"You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant." [Surah 5 verse 82]

The questions we need to ask here is: who are those concerned in the verse?

Answer: those who are not arrogant, who accept the truth of Islam! Because the Prophet Muhammad (salla Allah alayhi wa sallam) gave the definition of pride and arrogance:

He (salla Allah alayhi wa sallam said): "Pride means rejecting the truth and looking down on other people." [Sahih Muslim]

Do christians nowadays accept the truth of Islam??? If they reject the Message of Islam and refuse to follow the Prophet Muhammad (salla Allah alayhi wa sallam), they are then arrogant because they reject that truth...

You would have noted that I deliberately started the refutation by quoting the hadith concerning Ibn 'Abbass (radhi Allah 'anhooma) to underline the fact that I prefer referring the understanding of the verses of the Qur'an from someone who received such a praise from the Prophet Muhammad (sallah Allah alayhi wa sallam) than someone who did not received this du'aa:

AbdAllah Ibn 'Abbass (radhi Allah 'anhooma) said:

"Once the Prophet embraced me and said: "O Allah! Bestow on him the knowledge of the Book (Qur'an).""

Let see what Ibn 'Abbass (radhi Allah 'anhooma) said (in yellow) concerning the verse of Surah Al Ma'idah verse 82:

{You will surely find} O Muhammad

{the nearest of them in affection to the believers} in term of communication, relationship and soft speech

{to the believers} Muhammad and his companions

{those who say, "We are Christians."} it refers to An Najashee and his companions, and they were thirty two men and it is said forty and among them thirty two men from Habasha (Ethiopy) and a group of eight monks from the Sham (region of Syria)...(he is naming them)

{That is} this relationship

{because among them are priests} worshipers who have the middle of their head shaved

{and monks} their scholars who own their monasteries

{and because they are not arrogant} to believe in Muhammad and in the Qur'an

Elhamdulellah, the explanation is clear! Moreover, the verse that follows indicate that "they are not arrogant" implies that they believe in Muhammad (salla Allah alayhi wa sallam) an din the Qur'an:

"And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses." [Surah 5 verse 83]

Regarding the verse of Surah Al Hajj (verse 40):

"And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him (i.e. support the cause of Allah). Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might." [Surah 22 verse 40]

Someone who does not refer to the understanding of the righteous predecessors (Salaf-us-Saalih) may be confused by the explanation of the deviant Sohaib Saeed! Indeed in which the name of Allah is mentionned concerns the mosques, it does not concern the churches, synagogues and monasteries, as Ibn 'Abbass mentioned!!

Ibn 'Abbass (radhi Allahu 'anhooma) said in his Tafseer:

{And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others} and so He checks by means of the Prophets the believers. And through the believers He cheks the disbelievers, and through the fighters He checks those who do not take part in fighting; if it had not been for this

{there would have been demolished monasteries} monasteries of monks

{synagogues} of the jews

{oratories} the Magians' houses of fire, because these (i.e. synagogues, churches, monasteries, oratories) were safe from Muslims

{and mosques} of the Muslims

{in which the name of Allah is much mentioned} repeating the formulas "Allah is the Greatest" and "there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah"

Sohaib Saeed said in his statement: "Is it not perfectly reasonable for a Muslim to feel regret at the decline of religious manifestations in society, even for religions other than his own?" AUDHUBILLAH!!!

Therefore, I would say that the decline of religious manifestations in society is due to the practice of polytheism instaured by churches and synagogues, which made people flee from the truth of Islam. It is therefore not correct to feel regretful of a decline of a polytheist religion, BUT we should feel responsible to call those people, who left their polytheist religion for another polytheist state (i.e. atheism), to accept Islam.

The game played by Sohaib Saeed by visiting church and thanking them to worship other besides Allah, does not help those disbelievers to be safe from the HellFire!...

I tried my best inshAllah, with what Allah The Most High facilitates, to destroy the doubts and deviances of Sohaib Saeed concerning that topic and to correct them, but if Sohaib Saeed rejects the truth and prefers following his own desire, let me reminding him, inshAllah, the danger of turning away from the truth, as Allah The Most High says (meaning of the translation of the verse):

"I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right; and if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. And if they see the way of consciousness, they will not adopt it as a way; but if they see the way of error, they will adopt it as a way. That is because they have denied Our Signs and they were heedless of them." [Surah 7 verse 146]

Wa Allahu A'lam, wal hamdulellah, wa salla Allah wa sallam 'ala nabiyyna Muhammad wa 'ala aalehee wa sahbehee ajma'een.
